One Ok Rock is a Japanese Pop-Rock band.

The One Ok Rock was created in the summer of 2005 by Alex (guitar), Ryota (down) and Toru (vocals and guitar). The singer Taka joined the band a little later and they started playing shows in Tokyo. In December of that year, one of the band's concerts had sold out.
The One Ok Rock officially entered the market as an independent band in July 2006. At the same time they released their first mini-album, One Ok Rock. They began to attract attention and soon they began to sell records in other regions stores. The band's concerts in September gathered a lot of fans and in December they released a second mini-album. More than 500 people attended the first one-man One Ok Rock in Shinjuku Loft, great news for them as the band was just beginning.
After almost two years without a drummer, Tomoya finally joined the band as an official drummer in March 2007. They released their first single, Naihi Shinsho to full training on 25 April. The single earned them a few minutes on Japanese radio, and even brought more fans to the band and a contract with the major label Amuse. The expected second single Yume Yume was released on July 25. In August, the first national tour of One Ok Rock began.
The following year, the band released their first live DVD, Yononaka Shredder in March and their first major album, Beam Of Light, in May. For being a band so young, there is still plenty of time for One Ok Rock surprising his fans with more launches and impressive performances, keep an eye on them!
The band got its name because when they arrived at the studio PRAR the first day of shooting was 1 pm. In English, the pronunciation is One o'clock, and going to the Japanese pronunciation, is One ok rock.
