Before joining the band, Taka was already known to be part of a boy band called "NEWS". He left the agency responsible for the boy-band, Johnny & Associates, full of rumors chasing him. They said he was expelled because he was dating and the agency did not allow that kind of relationship the trainee. What was officially launched in the media is that he wanted to focus more on studies. Previously his name was Moriuchi (森 内) but unfortunately in 2005 their parents separate and chose to be called Morita (森田). He is the son of two very famous personas in Japan: his father is enka singer Shinichi Mori, and his mother is a singer and actress, Masako Mori. His trademark is the husky voice and great vocal control that demonstrates the shows, especially in the slow songs when singing with great emotion stirring up the audience. The band members say he is very confident. It is in charge of composing the songs, always preferring to write in English, although he admits that it is not fluent in the language.
